Our Legacy & A Future Built on Faith
Saint Paul Diocesan Junior/Senior High School carries forward a proud legacy of Catholic education that began more than a century ago in Worcester. Born from the traditions of Holy Name Central Catholic High School and St. Peter-Marian Central Catholic Junior/Senior High School, Saint Paul represents the continuation of generations of educators, families, alumni, and students who have been shaped by faith, service, and academic excellence.
In December 2019, Bishop Robert J. McManus announced the merger of the two Worcester diocesan junior/senior high schools, bringing together the rich histories of Holy Name and St. Peter-Marian to form a newly constituted diocesan high school. Following a period of thoughtful consultation, Bishop McManus announced in March 2020 that the new school would be named in honor of Saint Paul, the patron saint of the Diocese of Worcester. The school would continue this legacy at the former Holy Name campus at 144 Granite Street, Worcester.
Today, Saint Paul honors the traditions that came before while creating a new future, one where students are formed in faith, challenged academically, and inspired to serve. The story continues. The legacy grows. We are stronger together.
