Dear Saint Paul student-athletes, fans, and families:

The significant rise in COVID positivity during the winter season has given pause for many schools and athletic programs statewide to reevaluate spectator attendance and the open-to-the-public general admission practices regarding indoor sporting events.

Through discussions with our MIAA conference competitors, a collective decision has been made to align our indoor sporting admission practices.

Beginning Tuesday 1/4, in-season, Saint Paul players on the active roster for the game day will be permitted immediate family as spectator guests (parents and siblings).  This policy will be in effect for both home and away games through the month of January 2022.  This policy will be reviewed at month’s end, taking into consideration COVID positivity trends at that time.

All players, coaches, game day staff, and student-athlete family members attending a game must wear a facemask at all times when inside.  Indoor facemask compliance on the Saint Paul campus is mandatory per the city ordinance of the Worcester Division of Public Health.

We hope these measures will provide both our Saint Paul student-athletes and their families with the safe enjoyment of the winter sports season while maintaining appropriate standards in safeguarding our larger community from COVID transmission and possible interruptions in the winter sports season.

Thank you,

Mr. James Manzello
