National Honor Society

The Saint Paul Chapter of the National Honor Society inducts new members each fall who demonstrate enthusiasm for scholarship, render service to their community, take on leadership roles, and exhibit good character. The selection process is outlined below.

1.  Candidates must be members of the sophomore, junior, or senior classes.
2.  Candidates must have been enrolled for a period equivalent to one semester at Saint Paul
    (this requirement may be waived by the Faculty Council).
3.  Candidates must have a minimum cumulative unweighted average of eighty-eight (88). 
4.  Candidates meeting the grade level, enrollment, and scholarship standards, will then be considered    
    based on their service, leadership, and character as evidenced through a candidate’s resume form.
5.  A five-member faculty council will review the resume forms and interview the candidates to determine 
    which students fully meet the selection criteria for membership. 
6.  Candidates chosen will become members at an induction ceremony.
7.  Candidates must maintain their cumulative average of 88 and complete sixteen (16) hours of service 
    each year to remain members in good standing.

 

National Junior Honor Society

The Saint Paul Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society inducts new members each fall who demonstrate enthusiasm for scholarship, render service to their community, take on leadership roles, and exhibit good character and citizenship. The selection process is outlined below.
   
1.  Candidates must be members of the 8th or 9th grade.
2.  Candidates must have been enrolled for a period equivalent to one semester at Saint Paul 
    (this requirement may be waived by the Faculty Council).
3.  Candidates must have a minimum cumulative unweighted average of eighty-eight (88). 
4.  Candidates meeting the grade level, enrollment, and scholarship standards, will then be considered
    based on their service, leadership, character, and citizenship as evidenced through a resume form.
5.  A five-member faculty council will review the resume forms to determine which students fully meet
    the selection criteria for membership.  
6.  Candidates chosen will become members at an induction ceremony.
7. Candidates must maintain their cumulative average of 88 and complete a minimum of six (6) hours of 
   service each year to remain members in good standing.
